Former Kenyan boxer Conjestina Achieng is reportedly suffering months after former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko claimed that she had appointed her to be part of his security team at Salama Bling Beach resort in Kanamai.
In June, according to pictures shared by Sonko on his social media handles, it showed an all-smiles Conjestina dressed in a pristine white suit
Her hair was neatly cut, kept sort and she was carrying Sonko’s briefcase at his Upperhill office.
However, recent reports have suggested that the former boxer left her plum job and is currently at the village in Yala.

A decade ago, Conjestina found herself on the brink of obscurity, grappling with financial struggles and mental health issues since her departure from boxing in 2011.
Her once-thriving career abruptly ended when she began experiencing mental health challenges.
Fast forward to September 2022, the boxing champion found herself admitted to the Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital in Miritini.
Prior to this, she had been in and out of various facilities due to a decline in both her physical and mental well-being.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko stepped in to assist the boxing champion, extending his support when he visited her during her hospital stay.
Sonko not only gifted Conjestina with boxing equipment but also facilitated her admission to multiple rehabilitation centers in Nairobi and Diani Beach.
