Sad as University Graduate Burns All His Academic Papers After Landing Same Job as School Dropouts

An enraged Nigerian man, Olutimain Alvin Lanre, has taken a drastic step by setting fire to all his school certificates, ranging from primary school to university.

In a viral video, the frustrated individual expressed that his academic qualifications had proven futile since his graduation, spanning a period of 13 years.

Lanre, an Ajayi Crowther University graduate who completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2013, lamented that despite his educational achievements, he found himself limited to jobs meant for those without formal education.

This predicament rendered his hard-earned certificates seemingly useless.

During the video, Lanre passionately argued that it might be more beneficial for young people to acquire practical skills rather than invest years in formal education, only to end up with certificates that do not translate into viable opportunities.

Displaying his certificates, he set them ablaze, emphasizing his frustration at not being able to leverage them for meaningful personal or professional advancements.

While some netizens empathized with Lanre’s sentiments, others criticized him for what they deemed a hasty and drastic action.

The video, originally posted by @perfectskones and @ngozikan, sparked a range of reactions on social media.
