There was drama at the Milimani Law court after former Maria actor Robert Bundi was arrested alongside his wife over child-molestation case.
The incident, said to have occurred at the Karen Plains estate in Lang’ata, took an unexpected twist when the well-known bodybuilder, actor, and media personality resisted arrest by police officers outside the High Court.
Budi, whose fame extends from bodybuilding to hosting and acting, managed to shake off initial attempts by law enforcement to detain him for violating a child’s rights.
The duo was apprehended outside the High Court and is set to face charges at the Kibera Law Courts.
Despite his initial resistance, police eventually overpowered Budi, handcuffing him as he awaits arraignment in court.
The arrest unfolded immediately after Budi and Wendy had attended a court case at the High Court, hinting that officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had been trailing the couple in connection to the child molestation case.
The charges leveled against the duo include being cruel to a child, a violation under Section 25 of the Children Act number 29 of 2022.
According to police reports, the alleged incidents transpired between October 22, 2022, and February 10, 2023, within Karen Plains in Lang’ata sub-county, Nairobi.
