Meet Bonface Barasa, a distinguished First class honours graduate from JKUAT, full of promise and potential.

Unfortunately, despite his academic achievements, Bonface has found himself facing the harsh realities of unemployment.

Born into challenging circumstances, his widowed mother invested all her resources in Bonface, hopeful that his success would pave the way for his siblings’ education.

Bonface, who scored an A- in KCSE, secured a slot at JKUAT University.

He graduated in 2018 and has tirelessly searched for job opportunities, knocking on every conceivable door.

However, the harsh reality of unemployment has forced him back to his village in Kitale, where he currently spends his days trying to make bricks for sale with little success.

Sharing his story on social media, Kenyan comedian Erick Omondi, with his initiative dubbed ‘SISI KWA SISI,’ which is about lifting each other up, promised to intervene and help pull Bonface out of the hole.

”The family has lost all hope and we are going to be their hope. I spoke to Bonface and he told me he wants to open a business in Kitale and supply Maize, Nduma, Cabbage and sweet potatoes to Nairobi he only needs a capital of Ksh 500k and we can raise that as team Sisi Kwa Sisi in just an hour or less,” Comedian Erick Omondi posted on his facebook page.

Additionally, he also asked his supporters, if they know of any job opportunities that align with Bonface’s qualifications (Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with First Class Honors), their support in this regard would be invaluable.
