There was a bizarre scene in the ongoing Football Kenya Federation Premier League, pitting Gor Mahia against the Mount Kenya-based side Murang’a Seal.
The admin managing Seal’s social media account used Azimio’s red carpet, which was employed during the 2022 general election to make Raila Odinga supporters believe that the ODM leader had won the election, only to discover that he was defeated by William Ruto.
It all started when Gor Mahia fans were thrown into celebration mode after a goal in the 31st minute, only for their celebratory moment to be disrupted as the center referee declared it offside.
This prompted the Muranga Seal social media admin to take to the accounts and post: ’31’ | Offside Gor Mahia is celebrating a goal here, the linesman’s flag is raised, OFFSIDE! Gor Mahia 0 – Murang’a SEAL 0.’
The caption was followed by a picture of a red carpet.
