Actress Caroline Muthoni Ng’ethe, popularly known as Carrol Sonnie, has opened up about a period in her past when she quit her job because of a man.

The former girlfriend of comedian Mulamwah revealed this on a Friday morning while discussing old photos that resurfaced on her phone.

In her revelation, Sonnie seemed to laugh at herself for leaving her job because of her ex-boyfriend and explained that she took that step out of love.

“Wow, here I am, Google Photos reminding me of the foolish things I did for love. Gosh, I quit my job because of a man. Muthoni, seriously!” Sonnie wrote on Instagram.

However, the mother of one did not reveal which of her past relationships she was referring to. She continued to urge her followers to also share some of the foolish things they did for love.

Not much is known about the actress’s dating life apart from her relationship with popular comedian David Oyando, alias Mulamwah.

The two dated for about four years and even had a child together before announcing their separation at the end of 2021, just a few months after the birth of their daughter.

When announcing their split in December 2021, Sonnie thanked her ex-boyfriend for the time they shared together and wished him well in his future endeavors.

“I want to make it clear that Mulamwah and I are no longer together. We have both agreed and decided to part ways for reasons known to us. Thank you so much for the love and support you have given us over those 4 years. Personally, it’s not easy for me,” Sonnie said in 2021.

She added, “To Mulamwah, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your life during those years. I am very grateful and will cherish the memories forever. In your next chapter in life, I wish you nothing but the best. Keep winning, and may God bless you in every step of your life. To my fans, thank you for the support and love you have shown me. May God bless each and every one of you. As I continue on this journey, allow me to adorn your phones with amazing content, and I know for sure you will love it. The breaking of the cooking stick is not the end of cooking, so we move forward and pray for a better tomorrow. Keep supporting and showing love. Let the work continue!” 😊
