Comedian Gilbert Barasa, popularly known as Mtumishi, has accused his biological mother of breaking up his family and openly disowning him. Speaking during a Sunday service at Jesus Compassion Ministry, Mtumishi claimed that his mother has been involved in witchcraft for many years, which she used to destabilize their family.

The comedian opened up about how his mother implicated him in her witchcraft activities against their father, stating that the woman who bore him was wrong to involve him in such matters.

“My mother destroyed her own home. Why do I say this? She implicated me in things that I shouldn’t have been involved in. When I was young, she would give me concoctions from witch doctors to place at the door for my father when he comes home, and then it becomes a war in the house. Certainly, a child has feelings and is innocent; every time my father came, I would tell him that my mother gave me something to put here, and then it becomes a conflict in the house,” Mtumishi told the congregation.

Mtumishi explained that during that time, he was innocent because, at his young age, he didn’t know what his mother was involving him in. He revealed that eventually, his parents separated, and his mother went to the FIDA offices, where she was allowed to deduct part of his father’s salary.

“My mother never quit witchcraft; she completely destroyed her family and ruined her marriage,” Mtumishi said.

The comedian stated that later in life, he had the opportunity to speak with his father, who explained that he had to leave their mother because of her witchcraft. Furthermore, Mtumishi disclosed that his mother never supported him when he started his comedy career on Churchill Show many years ago, and she even disowned him, kicking him out of her house.

Mtumishi revealed that his mother also opposed his marriage, using witchcraft to break up his union just four months after the wedding.

“Since 2021, I haven’t spoken to my mother after that incident. I am not happy to see my mother,” he said.

The comedian expressed deep pain and stated that even if his mother were to die today, he would not feel anything. He mentioned that since the alleged incident of his mother breaking up his marriage in 2021, he has been ignoring her calls as he is not willing to speak to her.
