Celebrated Nigerian actor ‘Chief’ paralysed, appeals for help

Renowned Nigerian actor Amaechi Muonagor, aged 61 is currently calling for help after being stricken by a stroke earlier this year while on a film set with celebrated actors such as Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro.

Muonagor recounted the distressing incident, describing how his life took an unexpected turn.

“I was about to enter my car when I was struck with this problem,” he said, explaining .

Since that fateful moment, his condition has only worsened, leaving him unable to move or walk independently. His left leg is partially paralyzed, and his left hand has lost its mobility, rendering him in a state of paralysis.

Following the stroke, he spent two months in a hospital in Nnewi, Nigeria, before being referred to Teaching Hospital Nnewi, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment. In a heartfelt plea, Muonagor implored the public for assistance, emphasizing the severity of his condition.

He has declared, “It is paralysis, half of my body.”

The news of his health struggle has resonated deeply with the public, and his video appeal has quickly gone viral.

His courageous request for help underscores the urgency of financial support for his medical bills and rehabilitation costs.

The outpouring of support and solidarity from the community is essential in his journey towards recovery.
