According to sources from the nation, located in the southern part of Kenya, this surgery center, the first of its kind, will be highly beneficial for many individuals who travel daily to Turkey for such procedures.
The surgery will involve reducing body fat and correcting body parts, including breast and buttock size, reducing belly or arm fat, and other areas of the body, as stated in a magazine.
These developments were announced on Wednesday, October 10, 2023, by the Head of the Surgery Department, Dr. Eric Muhumba, during a media briefing about the surgery.
Dr. Muhumba mentioned that the surgery will be conducted by experts from Mloganzila in collaboration with weight loss and corrective surgery specialist from India, Dr. Mohit Bhandari, and the MedINCREDI Health Institute.
He explained that weight reduction services would be performed by reducing the food storage area by stitching part of the stomach, leading to reduced food intake and weight loss.
Dr. Muhumba noted that they will employ a modern method that does not require conventional surgery; instead, they will use a special device called endoscopy to enter the stomach and reduce the food storage area.
“This surgery will be very affordable compared to seeking such services abroad. We have decided to bring these services closer to the people, reducing the inconvenience of traveling abroad for such services,” quoted Dr. Muhumba.
In addition to these services, Dr. Muhumba added that corrective services will involve adjusting by reducing fat and correcting various body parts like breast size, arm fat, and other areas of the body.
