Shocking Scenes as Man Kills Boda Boda Rider and Sells His Motorcycle to Finance His Wedding

A 20-year-old man from Nigeria who killed a motorcycle rider and stole his motorcycle has revealed that he committed the heinous crime to raise funds for his upcoming wedding.

Usman Yahaya Muhammed, who was reportedly a security guard in the area, killed the victim on Friday, September 29, 2023.

After being arrested by the police, the suspect confessed that he intended to sell the motorcycle to get money for his wedding.

On Monday, October 9, the suspect, along with others detained for various offenses within the state, was paraded by the state command spokesperson, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, a news outlet reported.

The suspect was guarding a motorcycle service, but on his way to his destination, he asked the victim to stop before hacking him to death with a machete.

“On 1/10/2023 at around 08:30, information was received that a body with a slit throat was found in a pool of blood in the Shabalile area in Mokwa. Police officers, led by the DPO of Mokwa Division, gathered at the scene and took the body to the morgue of the Hospital for preservation.”

“In the investigation, on 2/10/2023 at around 11:30, a Bajaj motorcycle believed to be stolen from the deceased was found at an uncompleted building in Mokwa. This led to the arrest of Usman Yahaya Muhammed, a 20-year-old from Kinboku-Kudu village in Mokwa.”

“During interrogation, the suspect admitted to the crime, stating that he rode the motorcycle to the village of Eppa, where he stopped the motorcycle rider and fatally attacked him with machetes. He left the body and took the motorcycle. The case is being investigated at SCID Minna,” DSP Abiodun was quoted as saying by Lindaikejisblog.com.

It is reported that the suspect, believed to be a serial killer, confessed to reporters during the parade that he had committed similar crimes nearly eight times in the past.
