In a recent incident in Nairobi, a woman known as Ntazola found herself in a heated argument with a city askari, which not only went viral but also led to her TikTok account being permanently banned.
Ntazola shared her ordeal with Kenyans, expressing her frustration over the incident and the subsequent consequences.
“TikTok wametoa account yangu, it’s permanently banned, this is my new account,” she shared, informing her followers about the ban. She explained that the incident involved a kanjo officer entering her car without her permission, which prompted her to question his actions.
The officer’s unexpected intrusion led to a confrontation, which was captured on video and shared online.
Ntazola defended her actions, stating, “When that guy entered my car, it was without my permission. I was just trying to park my car in town. That was not his first time. He has done that to me a lot of times, so I was just tired of him.” She emphasized that she felt justified in her response given the officer’s repeated behavior.
The video of the incident quickly went viral, drawing attention to the way city askaris sometimes handle situations. The officer, caught off guard, attempted to explain his actions and pleaded for forgiveness.
Despite his pleas, Ntazola remained firm and decided to drive the officer to her home in Ngong town as a form of punishment for his intrusion.
As a result of the incident and the subsequent video going viral, Ntazola’s TikTok account was permanently banned.
She expressed her disappointment but remained resilient, sharing her experience with her followers and raising awareness about the treatment some individuals face at the hands of city askaris.
Ntazola also announced her decision to take a break from social media due to the overwhelming attention the video had garnered.
