Abdul Mumin Dabone’s inspiring journey is a testament to the resilience and determination of young individuals striving to find their path in a challenging world.

A graduate in Political Science from the University of Ghana, Abdul Mumin faced the daunting prospect of unemployment that plagues countless young graduates.

However, rather than succumbing to despair, he embarked on an unexpected and inspiring career change.

Abdul Mumin graduated in 2021, filled with hope and ambition, like many young people eager to contribute to their communities and build successful careers.

However, the harsh realities of the job market soon set in, and he encountered difficulty securing a fulfilling job. It was a period marked by frustration and uncertainty, but Abdul Mumin was determined not to give up.

In March 2023, he made a bold decision that would alter the course of his life. Fed up with the fruitless job search, he chose to explore a completely different career path—he became an automotive mechanic.

 am Luqman Abdul Mumin Dabone. A graduate of the University of Ghana with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. I graduated from the University in 2021 and since then, life has been a series of events till I officially started as an automotive mechanic on Monday, 20th March 2023. This is how it all began and I hope you will be inspired to make a change in your life as well.

Abdul Mumin’s journey wasn’t without its challenges. He grappled with sleepless nights and deep introspection, pondering his future and the best way to achieve his goals.

He sought to be brutally honest with himself and make decisions aligned with his long-term aspirations. He prayed, hoped, and surrendered to fate, relying on his faith to guide him.

The recurring thought that echoed in his mind was clear: “Learn a skill, just learn a skill.” Abdul Mumin recognized that gaining a practical skill could be a significant step toward a brighter future.

The challenge lay in choosing the right skill, and he initially explored soft skills, only to realize they weren’t the right fit for him.

Eventually, he turned to hard skills and rediscovered his passion for mechanics, a dream he had shared with friends in the past.

Taking a leap of faith, Abdul Mumin resigned from his job as a secretary in a construction company and engaged in a heart-to-heart discussion with his family. Together, they embraced his new career direction. He embarked on a journey into the world of automotive mechanics with an unwavering commitment to follow his heart and passion.
