Former Citizen TV presenter Jacque Maribe has hinted at a comeback to the media industry after several years of being away.
Through her Instagram page, Maribe posted a message suggesting that her long hiatus has finally come to an end and that she might be making a fresh return to the media, possibly starting from September 1.
“On September 1, 2022, I chose to tell stories here on IG only… well, shouldn’t that change now on September 1, 2023? The vacation is over. Loading…” Maribe stated.
Maribe, who was once a prominent political journalist and popular presenter at Royal Media Services, made headlines when she and her former partner Joseph Irungu, also known as Jowie, were charged with the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani in 2018.
The case had numerous implications that affected Maribe, including her absence from television while the trial has been ongoing.
In a March ruling, Justice Idris Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts stated that Maribe and Jowie have a case to answer.
Maribe did not disclose which media house she would be joining or the type of show she would be hosting, but her fans were delighted to see her back on the screen.
“Welcome back, queen,” comedian DJ Shit commented.
“Coming back is always stronger than obstacles,” another person remarked.
“I still have high hopes for your return… Go gal 🔥🔥🔥” Mantashaa added.
“We’ve missed you, Jackie. Hope you’re doing well,” Nyambura Sophie wrote.
