Mugithi sensation Lawrence Njuguna, popularly known as DJ Fatxo, has strongly refuted claims made by Ghetto Radio regarding the cancellation of an interview with him.
Ghetto Radio had alleged that the interview was scrapped due to a flurry of fan complaints.
In a statement released on Wednesday, DJ Fatxo clarified that the interview’s cancellation was solely due to unavoidable traffic delays that caused him to arrive late.
In his response, DJ Fatxo criticized Ghetto Radio’s earlier statement as “misleading and ill-thought,” asserting that the radio station’s claims did not accurately represent the true situation.
He expressed his disappointment at the way the situation had been portrayed, terming it “distasteful, misleading, and plainly just unfortunate.”
Furthermore, DJ Fatxo contradicted Ghetto Radio’s assertion of public outrage, stating that the promotional posts for the interview on the radio station’s social media channels had garnered positive feedback and support from his fans.
Emphasizing the importance of accurate information dissemination, DJ Fatxo’s statement underscored the significance of conveying truthful details to the public and emphasized the media’s duty to inform rather than mislead.
As of now, Ghetto Radio has not responded to DJ Fatxo’s counterstatement. The initial interview was slated for August 18th, running from 7 am to 8 am.
While Ghetto Radio had attributed the interview cancellation to online uproar, DJ Fatxo’s rebuttal disputes this claim.
