In a tale of betrayal, a Nigerian lady named Uzoamaka shared her heartbreaking story on Twitter, recounting how she believed she had found a man to settle down with, only to be deceived.
According to Uzoamaka’s Twitter post, the man had assured her that they would settle down together.
In the early months of their relationship, he requested financial assistance to rent an apartment, promising that they would move in together after getting married.
“In the fourth month of the relationship, he mentioned getting a three-bedroom apartment that we would move into when we finally get married.
However, he claimed he didn’t have the complete amount and needed N250k to secure the place. He said he had saved N300k already,” Uzoamaka revealed.
Driven by love and the excitement of a future together, she quickly transferred the entire sum, which happened to be her entire savings for the year. She trusted him, having seen the apartment and expressing her fondness for it.
However, Uzoamaka’s joy soon turned into heartbreak when she decided to surprise him with a visit and discovered him cheating with another woman.
The painful reality hit her, leaving her empty-handed, both emotionally and financially.
