Tanzanian boxer Karim Mandonga, popularly known as Mandonga Mtu Kazi, is facing disappointment after suffering another defeat, this time at the hands of veteran Ugandan boxer Moses Golola.

The highly anticipated fight took place in Mwanza, Tanzania, on July 29, and ended in Mandonga’s crushing defeat by Technical Knockout.

This marks the second consecutive setback for Mandonga, following his previous loss against Daniel Wanyonyi of Kenya.

Despite the excitement surrounding the match, Golola showcased his superior skills in the ring, overpowering the Tanzanian boxer and securing a Technical Knockout victory in the third round.

After the fight, Mandonga offered an unusual explanation for his defeat, attributing it to witchcraft. He claimed that he closely observed Golola, starting from the weigh-in, but couldn’t understand his opponent’s fighting style. Mandonga became convinced that he was battling supernatural forces during the match after discovering objects resembling items used in witchcraft.

Addressing his fans, Mandonga expressed his confusion about the fight and stated, “My opponent had objects that looked like items which are normally used by witches.

So losing that fight is just normal, but I can say I fought against dark forces, and how I went down on the canvas, I can’t tell.”

Despite the unconventional explanation, Mandonga remained dedicated to his supporters and reassured them of his resilience. He declared his determination to prevail in future encounters, no matter the challenges he may face, even if it means confronting supernatural creatures in the ring.

Mandonga’s recent loss has added to his less-than-favorable professional record. With six wins, four losses, and three draws, the Tanzanian fighter finds himself at a critical juncture in his boxing career. The previous bout against Daniel Wanyonyi of Kenya dealt another blow to his prospects when he was knocked out in the fifth round of the non-title fight.
