Aspiring medical students looking to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) can now apply through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.
The portal, which opened on Saturday, offers 30 KMTC programs at diploma and certificate levels for application.
The application process targets individuals who completed the KCSE examination between 2013 and 2022, with a deadline set for August 4, 2023.
This move marks a significant milestone as both KMTC and KUCCPS share the common objective of enhancing access to quality higher education and training opportunities for all Kenyans.
âThis is a milestone because KMTC and KUCCPS have a common objective of enhancing access to quality higher education and training opportunities in a manner that is equitable to all Kenyans,â said KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome.
By providing KMTC courses on the KUCCPS platform, the process aims to ensure equity, fairness, and balanced access to training opportunities.
One advantage of using the KUCCPS system is that it already has a database of KCSE examination results for potential applicants, eliminating the need for them to provide their results and ensuring a cheat-free process.
Interested applicants can access the list of available programs, along with minimum subject requirements, at the 83 KMTC campuses nationwide by visiting the KUCCPS Student Portal.
“KMTC courses are now available for application on the KUCCPS portal students.kuccps.net. The application deadline for the September 2023 intake is August 4, 2023. Spread the word!” KUCCPS posted.
