Nick Odhiambo airs last show at Radio Maisha after 4 years of great service joining rival station

Radio Maisha show host Nick Odhiambo has finally called it quits at the Standard Media Group’s Radio Maisha after four years of great service.

Nick whose contract ended on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 will officially be replaced by former Milele FM head of radio Titi Nagwala.

Nick Odhiambo announced that he had finally exited Radio Maisha, with insiders privy to his next move told Kenyan report that he will be joining Royal Media Service’s Hot 96.

“Today’s my final Rhumba show on air after four years at Radio Maisha. Did I ever think I’d switch to Swahili radio? Nope, but the opportunity came, and I took it,” he tweeted.

The ardent journalist added that he would be transitioning fully to an English radio station in the next few days.

Nick joined Radio Maisha after co-hosting with Larry Asego at classic 105 for a record 10 straight years hosting The Drive alongside. He is also a part-time comedian as well as an actor.

Engineer Titi Nagwala who has been out for three years since quitting Milele will be out to fill Odhiambo’s shoes with more Rhumba expected to rent the air while there.

This is after the former Radio Citizen presenter took to social media making it public that he will be hosting the Rhumba show on Radio Maisha, every Monday to Friday from 7 pm to 10 pm.

“I took a sabbatical after exiting Milele FM and had planned to land another job in March 2020. However, I shelved my plans after the Covid-19 pandemic broke out.

“I also have been doing consultancy work for the past year. I believe I will be back in the media in a few months, as that is my passion and calling,” Nagwala told Kenyan report in May 2020.
