Just last year, a TikTok video of Azziad Nasenya hit the streets of social media and almost everyone in the country fell in love with her beautiful smile. The young, beautiful, bubbly creator with the most natural and infectious smile has never looked back since then. She danced to the beat of “Utawezana” by Femi one and Mejja. It didn’t take long for the video to be shared across all platforms, making Azziad an instant sensation.
With over a million followers on TikTok and more than 10 million likes, it appears like she’s now knocking on the doors of the major leagues as she chases her dream of making it to Hollywood one day.
Now, it is emerging that the girl born in Mumias, Western Kenya, is on the promo team of non other than Jamaica ragga-reggae superstar, singer Etana.
This follows a tweet that she posted on her handle promoting Etana’s forthcoming album “Pamoja” which she decided to call after a Kiswahili name.
The tweet read;
Happy Saturday my beautiful people!!! This album goes live on June 25! What song are you waiting to hear.
Etana is one of the biggest Jamaican songstresses, and her song, “Weakness in me” which she released as a cover song, has gone on to become one of the most listened to songs in the world.
Etana executively produced her fifth album, Reggae Forever, which was released in March 2018 and distributed by Tad’s Records. Reggae Forever remained at number one on the Billboard reggae albums chart for two consecutive weeks. This made Etana the first female in more than two decades, in Reggae, to gain top position twice on the chart. With her 2018 album Reggae Forever, she became the first female in over two decades to be nominated for a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category.
