The former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa has been the talk of the town on Twitter handle for the better part of Sunday 23 May after reports that the body of the Somali-American businessman Mohamed Bashir who went missing was found in Kerugoya.
Reports indicated that the body of the late Somali-American businessman who mysteriously disappeared last week had two gun wounds, the body will undergo an autopsy procedure scheduled on Monday 24 May before he is laid to rest.
The businessman believed to be a close associate to the Deputy President William Ruto was reported to have gone missing last week, his car was burnt at Ngong forest and the scene cleaned up.
The former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa on Sunday 23 May found himself under crossfire after Kenyans on Twitter ganged against him advocating for his arrest claiming he had a hand in the mysterious death of the businessman Bashir.
Netizens who made the former Sports Cabinet Secretary trend on Twitter under the hashtag ‘ # Arrest Echesa’ were calling for his arrest, claiming that he was part of the syndicate who are responsible for the death of the slain businessman, while others alleged that he (Echesa) was spotted at the murder scene.

“#ArestEchesa immediately, we want to know why he is doing away with people he once did business with,” another user Derik Baiyo added.
