Kenyan celebrities who scored A in KCSE

As the Kenya Certificate Of Secondary Education, KCSE, is almost coming to an end, here is a round-up of how some Kenyan celebrities scored in KCSE.

The 844 education system is slowly fading away. The last day in high school meant everything!

KCSE is graded by a maximum grade of A plain which is equivalent to 80% score while the last grade is given as E, which is similar to less than 25% score.

Here are celebs who scored straight As in their KCSE exams

Babu Owino

He attended Kisumu Township Secondary School and was able to score an A- of 79 points.

It poised him to join the University of Nairobi.

Fena Gitu

Kenya’s most sought-after female rappers, Fena Gitu who studied at Precious Blood Riruta scored a clean A-.


Better known as Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, she studied at the University of Nairobi with a degree in Mathematics.

Wahu scored an A in her KCSE exams

Polycarp Otieno

Better known as Fancy Fingers, he is the guitarist of Sauti Sol and doubles up as a producer as well. He scored an A in high school and joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology where he graduated with a degree in Actuarial science.

Dj Crème de la Crème

Born George Njuguna, in Primary School, Crème was index one and later scored an A- in K.C.S.E. He later proceeded to Kabarak University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

Holy Dave Muthengi

Gospel singer Holy Dave wears many hats. He is a singer, a host, a pastor as well as a lecturer. He is actually one of the most learned entertainers on Kenyan soil. Dave has a Master’s degree in Business administration from USIU. He is also a PhD student at the University of Nairobi.

MCA Tricky

Many of his fans believe that he is a street boy who dropped out of school and tried his luck in comedy due to his performances…Born Francis Munyao, Tricky graduated late last year with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kenyatta University.
