Rogue Nairobi county enforcement officers were yesterday caught on camera attempting to break entry into a traders warehouse. The group of rogue enforcement officers led by the county commander, identified as Oriera, yesterday mid-morning were stopped by members of the public when they attempted to force entry into a go down where goods worth of millions were stored.
They attempted to break into an EABL depot claiming that they wanted to see the permits and trade license and when it was shown to them they changed tune. The alleged enforcement officers were armed with machetes and when asked to identify themselves they refused , and continued with violence and forceful entry.
It took members of the public to intervene and upon realizing that they were being recorded they fled the place. When they were denied access to the go down they turned and started damaging properties worth millions as they shouted “mtajua sisi ni Nani”
They managed to beat the staffs that were recording the incidence and drove away with three of the staffs in their car, registration 47CG 359A, amongst them being EABL staffs.
Since the alleged arrest was unlawful, they drove in circles with the four staffs that they had held hostage , driving in circles between Waithaka dagoretti, then city hall only to later dump them at central police with a false claim.
Four staffs were left with injuries and have since reported the matter of assault, battery and attempted theft to the police station. In one of the videos, the officers are seen throwing a lady against a gate.
