As the 2022 presidential election fast approaches, details have emerged over President Uhuru Kenyatta’s new political tactics that he has adopted to keep the political big wigs under control.
Reports have revealed that the head of state has adopted a new political strategy which is synonymous with that of the late president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi in the months leading to the end of his tenure in 2002.
Currently, President Uhuru has managed to keep all the major political Party leaders at bay as they all anticipate his endorsement to succeed him once he retires in the year 2022.

According to political analyst Muriithi Mutiga, Uhuru’s current political game plan could back fire if he decides to betray politicians such as Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga who could form an alliance with Deputy President William Ruto and win the 2022 presidency.

Mutiga noted that just as the former head of state disappointed his close allies in the run up for 2002 general elections and endorsed Uhuru who lost the 2002 election to Narc party’s Mwai Kibaki, the same fate could befall the Jubilee Party leader.
