From photos of him with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi watching an AFC Leopards game, to that of him with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in a Gor Mahia game, back when his company was the official sponsor of the Kenyan Premier League, he has wined and dined with political royalty.
Even the president gave him a mention, though not in good light, when he spoke mid of last year during the time that CS of Interior Dr. Fred Matiang’I was leading an onslaught against betting firms, saying that the government has to get its fair share of taxes even though some of those being punished are his friends.
However, the youthful billionaire has now come out for the first time ever to lay out his political plans.
Speaking on Jessy Junction, a one-hour long show that airs on KTN Home every Monday night, and hosted by Comedian and MCee, Jesse, Ronald was responding to Jesse’s question about whether he had any political ambitions in the future. He said that he indeed had such ambitions, and clearly saw himself playing a huge political role in the future.
Although he didn’t specify which seat exactly he would be going for, and in which part of the country he would be running for office, he nevertheless made it clear that we would be seeing more and more of him within political confines.
While admitting that he would be venturing into politics, he however also made it equally clear that he had no intention whatsoever to vie for a position in football management. In fact, he went ahead to heap praises on Nick Mwenda, despite the challenges he may have faced, saying that people often forget what football was like before him.
