Raila reveals how he managed to beat Covid-19 disease

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has revealed how he managed to fight the Covid-19 disease.

The former Prime Minister has narrated how he succeeded to overcome the Corona virus after he tested positive for the virus way back on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

In his statement, Raila said that he was put on drugs for the first five days of his hospitalisation at The Nairobi Hospital, after which he used herbal drugs when he got discharged for self Isolation.

Raila revealed that he had been steaming a lot in the evening to manage the corona virus infection.

“I received a mixture that was more of a herbal drug. Secondly, I have been steaming a lot in the evening. Then I was on oxygen for a while. It is a process, and one needs to be disciplined and follow the doctor’s instructions,” Raila stated.

Raila assured Kenyans particularly his followers of his health when he accompanied President Uhuru Kenyatta to inspect development projects in Nairobi and Kajiado counties.

“I am now out. God is good. Today I had the chance to be out for the first time. I want to thank my brother (Uhuru) for visiting me at home. Kenyans can now see me. I have been in critical condition for the past three weeks. I am now out and I thank God,” said Raila.

This was the first time that Raila publicly addressed the Kenyans after testing positive for Covid-19.

This comes after the Opposition leader held a meeting with the Orange Femocratic Movement (ODM) party top leadership on March 31, 2021 where they reaffirm their commitment to the handshake.

“The meeting reaffirmed ODM’s commitment to the spirit of the handshake…We also affirmed ODM’s unwavering commitment to the Building Bridges Initiative and the Constitution of Kenya Amendment Bill 2020,” Raila said.
