Kositany reveals UDA plan to ensure Raila is Ruto’s only opponent in 2022.

Back in 2019, when Kipchumba Murkomen was still the Senate Majority Leader, he once said that they, in Ruto’s camp, had only one wish, which was that all factors would remain constant, and Raila would be Ruto’s only competitor in the general elections.

Ruto’s unofficial spokesman Caleb Kositany has now come out, in the clearest indication yet so far, to confirm that their initial plans as a party still remain intact, and they are in an unstoppable push to ensure that the forthcoming general elections are a two horse race between Ruto and Raila.

Kositany made the major revelation while speaking as a guest on Citizen TV’s morning show Daybreak which was hosted by Sam Gituku. Kositany was joining the rest of the panelists virtually.

The others included ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Murang’a Women Representative Sabina Chege, and Kiminini MP, Dr. Chris Wamalwa.

The sit-in itself was a chaotic one where everyone was attacking everyone, with the exception of Sabina Chege who seemed to take a seat away from the action, and would jump in every now and then to issue a short statement that didn’t really reveal which side she was leaning on.

It was during one of these undirected crossfire incidents where Dr. Chris Wamalwa was just coming out of a to and fro with Edwin Sifuna, that Kositany jumped in to attack Chris Wamalwa, having taken a break from firing shots at ODM.

Kositany went ahead to call parties that make the newly formed One Kenya Alliance, village parties, then said that they recognise and respect ODM as the only party with a national structure and stature.

He reiterated that this, however, wasn’t to be perceived as meaning that they weren’t in competition with ODM. He clarified that they remained rivals with ODM, but only that ODM was the sole party with a sound party structure that they felt worth facing.
