Manyora speaks on who will be the next president of Kenya

Political analyst Herman Manyora has claimed that Deputy president William Ruto would emerge as a winner in 2022 presidential election should he face off with either Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi or KANU Chairman Gideon Moi.

According to Manyora, the three party leaders can not defeat DP Ruto in 2022 presidential elections even if they get support from both President Uhuru and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

Manyora claimed it is only the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who can challenge Ruto in the 2022 general election.

“My advice to Uhuru, any of these guys cannot beat William Ruto. Musalia Mudavadi cannot beat Ruto, Gideon Moi is good but not for today. Even Kalonzo Musyoka would not. For now, the only fighting chance is Raila Odinga…it is the reality,” Manyora noted.

The analyst also noted that DP Ruto’s UDA party has posed a challenge to some perceived big political parties in the recently concluded by-elections.

“UDA got one out of the seven by-elections…It means the party is not useless. Its leader has not come out for obvious reasons. A party without a leader yet is harassing big established parties, it just warns that the big parties are not safe,” Manyora said.

“Ruto managed more votes in Mudavadi’s backyard in the by-election…I saw them celebrating yet they are fighting for survival in their zone,” he added.

This comes after ANC’s Peter Nabulindo won with 14,257 votes, followed by ODM’s David Were who garnered 10, 565 with UDA’s Alex Lanya in third place with 5,513 votes in the Matungu by-election.

During the Matungu by-election, KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula and Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka rallied their support behind the Mudavadi’s ANC candidate.

Their unity was perceived that they could be arranging for a coalition ahead of 2022 general elections.
