Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri is mourning the death of his son, Arthur Kinyanjui Kimani.
Kinyanjui died while receiving treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital in Mombasa where he had been admitted since mid-2020 with a severe case of pneumonia which had resulted in him being diagnosed with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
While confirming his death, Ngunjiri said he was saddened by the demise of his son.
“It is hard to accept that you are gone. RIP my last born son Arthur Kinyanjui Kimani,” Ngunjiri said.

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi mourned him as his close friend and a hardworking young man.
“Arthur was a very close friend whom we shared a lot. AK was a hardworking, tenacious, kind-hearted and ever-smiling young man. It is sad and agonizing that we lost him too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during such tragic moments. Rest in eternal peace brother,”Sudi said.
Molo Member of Parliament Kimani Kuria mourned Kinyanjui as a young man full of life and man of the people.
“It is a sad morning to the family of my colleague Hon Onesmas Kimani Ngunjiri MP Bahati following the demise of his son Arthur Kinyanjui Kimani aka AK 47. AK was such a young man full of life and a man of the people,” Kimani said.
His death comes after Deputy President William Ruto had visited him in hospital on Sunday, February 7, 2021 and wished him quick recovery.
“My thoughts and prayers are with you today. Your son will get cured,” Ruto said.
