Ruto’s UDA campaign team has a cool budget of Sh150 million for both Kabuchai and Matungu by-elections which are scheduled to be held in March according to IEBC.
Five MPs in Bungoma county allied to the DP camp will each get Sh10 million to facilitate the campaigns according to credible information reaching our news desk from an insider who sought anonymity.
The MPs have each been picking Sh300,000 every week since the day campaigns begun. The UDA allied MPs are expected by the DP Ruto to hit the ground in favor of their candidates.
The budget for the MPs by the time elections are held will be a cool Sh50 million. Then another Sh30 million was budgeted to be used on transport, publicity that includes printing of T-shirts, posters and other logistics.
UDA campaign strategists have an allowance of Sh2, 000 per day and Party agents will be transported to various polling stations on the D-day after spending two nights at a specific location with7000 voters who are to be recruited.
The team of strategists are to recruit voters from list of 7000 from other polling stations to vote in Matungu for the UDA candidate.
UDA wants to start with the recruited 7,000 assured voters. The said voters are each to receive Sh5,000 as facilitation fee.
Approximately Sh40 million has been budgeted for the so-called special voters. With 7,000 votes to start with, being a by-election, the strategists are sure of a UDA candidate win.
