Kipchumba Murkomen reveals why 6 Jubilee Senators were expelled

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has broken his silence detailing the reason why his six colleague members of the Jubilee party senators were suspended amid allegations of disloyalty to, and going against the dictates of the party.

In what appears as a continuation of the purge, the six nominated Jubilee party senators were yesterday evening expelled from the party and communications copied to the registrar of the political parties.

In his tweet shortly after the action was taken, the former senate majority leader revealed that the six senator’s expulsion was necessitated by the move ouster Murang’a senator Irungu Kang’ata from the majority whip position.

He said that the exercise was carried out to meet the minimum required number help in the successful ejection of Irungu Kang’ata from his position during today’s parliamentary group meeting at the KICC.

“This is the game; The 6 senators are purportedly expelled today because tomorrow they want to remove Whip Kang’ata. Since we are 38 PG members (including the fake KANU)&they can’t raise 20 to remove Whip, they will argue we are 32 so that they target only 17 Senators. Hypocrites!” reads Murkomen’s tweet.

Citing due course of the law to be followed, Murkomen added that any attempt to illegally remove Kang’ata from the office will be highly resisted.

“Any attempts to remove Sen @HonKangata illegally will be resisted. Those who come to equity must come with clean hands. Let the law be followed” added Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

This comes members of the Jubilee party rally behind Kang’ata with a section of them taking it to the Lord to have mercy on him, and see him through the process.

Leading the pack is Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria who said that Kang’ata made no mistake in merely saying the truth.

“God Almighty I dedicate to you Sen Irungu Kang’ata. Today at KICC they will offer him sacrifice to Baba/ Baal. Father remembers his only fault was to tell the truth.

Dear Lord shower Sen Kangata with your mercies and grant him favor in the eyes of your people in Muranga. Lord take notice that your servant has realized that there is no gain winning the whole world but losing his soul in the process.

Bless Sen Kangata dear Lord even as you strike Baal in whose honor Sen Kang’ata will be sacrificed with fire and lightning. In Jesus Holy name we pray and believe, Amen.” Wrote Moses Kuria on Facebook.

This comes barely a month after the Murang’a senator carried out a popularity survey of the BBI document in the Mt. Kenya region with a negative result.

His letter to President Kenyatta about the same survey sparked mixed reactions among political leaders with the DP Ruto allied leaders lauding him for saying the truth, while the Kieleweke faction castigating his action.
