A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in Nyeri County after two of her children were found murdered and bodies dumped at a farm.
The woman was arrested earlier today by the police in Mukurwe-Ini’s Gaturia sub-location after the bodies were found at their farm.
The cause of their death was still unclear with the mother arrested after she failed to tell what might have caused their deaths.
Confirming the incident, Mukurwe-Ini OCP Mwakiria Jessi said the two bodies of kids aging between 7 and 10 years old were discovered at the family farm.
Investigations officers are already on the ground to establish the possible cause of their deaths.
Reports indicate the officers discovered a substantive amount of vomit next to the bodies for sampling awaiting autopsy revelation.
This comes just days after a University student from Kiambu County murdered four members of his family and their farmhand in cold blood in Karura Village.
Homicide detectives smoked out the suspect Lawrence Warunge Njoroge from his hideout where he was putting up with a relative in Kabete, after tracing his mobile network signals.
He later confessed to having killed the family members beginning with their farmhand.
After an apprehension, he led the sleuths to the IDP area in Mai Mahiu area Nakuru County where more and crucial evidence was discovered.
Close and careful analysis of the evidence revealed that at least three people were at the crime scene as disclosed by the DCI.
“We are now 100 percent sure that he was involved. The boy says he was not on good terms with the family, but what we want to establish now is the drive.
He (the student) has given us a lot of information, but we are going beyond this to corroborate the circumstantial and forensic evidence with what he is saying. The postmortem on the bodies will also give us progress,” Kinoti said.
