Renowned lawyer and self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna has broken his silence calling on Kenyans to reject the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report following ODM’s humiliating defeat in Msambweni.
In his latest tweet, Miguna called on the Kenyans to follow in the footsteps of the Msambweni voters and reject the BBI in its entirety terming it a fraud.
“@RailaOdinga stated loudly that if the Deep State’s, Uhuru Kenyatta’s, and his candidate Omar Boga is defeated in Msambweni, it means the #BBIFraud will be rejected by Kenyans. Well, Msambweni voters heard him clearly and rejected Boga. Now let us #RejectBBI!” Wrote Miguna.
This comes after ODM leader Raila Odinga had earlier declared the Msambweni mini poll an acid test for the constitutional amendment process through the BBI report.
In his declaration while on a campaign trail in Msambweni in drumming support to the ODM candidate Omar Boga, the former premier said that a loss in Msambweni would see the process into problems.
The seasoned lawyer also congratulated Feisal Bader on his win, hailing the people of Msambweni for expressing and exercising their democratic rights.
“CONGRATULATIONS, Feisal Bader, for DEFEATING the #BBIFraud COW, Omar Boga in Msambweni, and teaching Uhuru Kenyatta and @RailaOdinga that POWER BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE. Kenyans will and must DEFEAT the #BBINonsense. Viva! #RejectBBI #RejectBBINonsense.” Miguna added.
The Msambweni by-elections saw Feisal Bader elected as the next Msambweni MP to replace the late Suleiman Dori who succumbed to cancer in March 2020.
Feisal won after garnering a total of 15251 votes, beating ODM’s Omar Boga who came second with 10,444 votes.
