Shock as Nairobi businessman clobbered a police constable attached to Pangani Police station amidst panic across the country over the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
As Covid-19 continues to threaten and claims lives, a police constable’s has lost his life after being boxed to death by a businessman.
According to eyewitness the Businessman identified as Willy popularly known as Rasta picked a fight with the officer who has been identified as PC Joshua Lonwatun Bruce from Parklands Police station.
The eyewitness further disclosed that Rasta picked up a fight with the officer after the deseased questioned him about an old office phone he was selling then the Rasta just pounded on the officer who fell on the tarmac and died on the spot.
The Cops Kenya also confined the matter through their social media page stating, “PC Joshua Lonwatun Bruce of Parklands police beaten by a civilian to death. Rest in Peace crew. Raia mmeamuaje?”
This sparked mixed reactions from a section of Kenyans with some blaming the officers for not being friendly and doesn’t know how to relate with civilians.
“I think we need cops who are well educated. You need to know how to communicate with wananchi. Citizens are your bosses so they need to have a good rapport with us. Employing primary dropouts is a complete nuisance,” one user stated.
“I feel guilty when I find a very well trained police harassing a mwananchi/driver whereas we are dealing with Alshabaab in North Eastern,” another user stated.
