Kenyans have taken a swipe at the Deputy President William Ruto over his latest remarks on covid-19 as the country is experiencing a second wave of the deadly disease with addition of positive cases being reported on a daily basis.
In a span of less than one week, the country has lost over a hundred people to the deadly virus, including politicians and health workers and the virus cases curve has been steadly rising.
Quite a number of leaders including the second in command have called upon their supporters to strictly adhere to the ministry of health guidelines set to curb the the spread of the deadly disease.
Taking to his twitter handle page, the second in command urged kenyans to take precaution and observe government set measures to avoid contracting the deadly disease and to curb the spread of the virus.
“The wave of Covid-19 is clearly ravaging our nation with alarming increases in infections and deaths. The pandemic is killing people including health workers while destroying livelihoods. We should stop everything and mobilise every human, material and financial resources to fight Covid-19,” the DP posted.

The Deputy President’s post was not received well with a section of kenyans on social media who lashed out at him stating that in the last couple of weeks, the DP was traveling across the country holding political rallies amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
They accused the DP of hypocrisy after pulling massive crowds in different counties where he was observed mingling freely with no masks.
They further claimed that the DP is pretending to be so concern about the virus after defying the ministry of health set directives to curb the spread of the deadly virus that has set the entire world into panic.
