Jubilee party through the party’s Communication Director Albert Mwemusi has broken its silence, addressing allegations that the party’s Secretary-General Raphael Tuju is admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Speaking earlier today, Mwemusi denied the claims on social media of Tuju’s admission at the Karen Hospital’s ICU, terming them baseless allegations.
“These are baseless reports based on unfounded rumors,” Mwemusi stated.
The news caused a stir online with the netizens sending messages wishing him quick recovery.
“Hearing reports that Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju is in ICU, Karen Hospital. He is a CS without a portfolio. May he heal quickly,” one netizen reacted.
This comes just months after the CS was involved in a road accident on his way to the burial of former President Daniel Moi at his Kabarak home.
He was airlifted to the UK for specialized treatment after short treatment in Kenya.
Tuju recently gave an update on his health.
“I am doing very well. The other time they had ‘killed’ me, now if I am in ICU that is a big improvement, from death to ICU I cannot be doing that bad,” Tuju stated.
