President Uhuru Kenyatta is currently holed up in a meeting with Raila Odinga and leaders from the expansive Luo Nyanza region.
The president and his delegation made his way to Kisumu Yacht club where reports indicate that the AU special envoy for infrastructure and his team were waiting.
Sources indicate that the president will outline his agenda for the region before launching several projects in the region that has seen several infrastructure projects implemented by the government.
He is also expected to drum up support for the Building Bridges Initiative Report that was unveiled yesterday.
The report has placed the president and his handshake brother on a collision path with his deputy who has been leading the anti-BBI forces.
The head of state landed in Kisumu Port yesterday evening shortly after receiving the BBI report.
At the Kisumu Port, Kenyatta was received by ODM leader Raila Odinga who had arrived some minutes before in a private chopper.
The two drove off to Kisumu State Lodge.
President Kenyatta is expected to launch the newly constructed Marine Training School inside the Kisumu Port.
The institution was funded by World Bank to a tune of Ksh80 million and forms part of the sustainable blue economy programs promoted by Uhuru.
The head of state is also expected to inspect the Ksh350 million Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium.
