Drama ensued at Citizen TV when news anchor and JK Live show host Jeff Koinange hosted former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga hours after the release of the BBI report.
The fiery anchor then enquired why the former CJ had been elusive to his show and was also not enthused at making appearances at the studios.
The former Jurist clarified that he was not happy about some of the tools Jeff uses in his show for instance the use of an extinguisher to symbolize a heated debate.
Jeff is also known for a line of questioning by boxing his interviewees a thing the former Chief Justice doesn’t seem to go well with.
Mutunga went ahead to say that he likes to digest the topic or the questions asked first, before coming up with responses on the same.
“I want us to be conversational. I do not think on my feet; I have a reflective brain,” the former CJ set the tone of the interview.
On the contrary, Mutunga decided against giving his view on the current Building Bridges Initiative currently in the country, for lack of adequate preparation.
The Koinange host JK Live show has been known for a number of hot topics with various people and leaders most notably, the recent host of Francis Atwoli.
The then charged COTU secretary-general in October last year smashed his phone on the floor as a show of disgust at the mention of a possible William Ruto presidency come 2022.
In in an interview pitting Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, and Women representative Esther Passaris, Jeff halted his show at the continued inappropriate words hauled at Passaris against the dictates of the show and ethics.
At the height of the discussion, the journalist encouraged Sonko to spray the extinguisher in the studio to signify how hot the topic was.
