Wetangula Suffers a Major Blow as the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal Throws Out his Preliminary Objections.

The PPDT sitting in Nairobi has thrown out preliminary objections filed by Wetangula on whether PPDT has Jurisdiction to listen to a case filed FORD Kenya Busia County Secretary General Mr.Chris Barasa.

Mr.Chris had filed a case against Wetangula to the tribunal seeking to stop him from discharging/presenting himself as the FORD Kenya Party Leader where he obtained orders blocking Wetangula from presenting himself as such.

The tribunal also barred Wetang’ula from presenting the outcome of the fake National Executive Committee meeting that was held on August 17 to the office of the Registrar of Political Parties for action pending determination of the case.

In his objection,Wetangula filed a petition arguing that the PPDT has no Jurisdiction to listen to the case filed by Mr.Chris arguing that the matter should have been referred to Party’s Internal Dispute Resolution Mechanism.

The PPDT ruled that it has jurisdiction to hear the case against Wetangula and has set a date for hearing.

The Wamunyinyi led faction welcomed the ruling adding that Wetangula tenure in FORD Kenya expired long time ago and it’s just a matter of time before his eminent fall is achieved.
