The Deputy President William Ruto’s urgent meeting with the ruling Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju at the party Headquarters has raised eyebrows.
The second in command made an impromptu visit at the Jubilee Party headquarters at Pangani along Thika Road on Tuesday 22 September a thing that left many surprised as he has not been frequenting the place after falling out with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Reports indicate that the Deputy President was in the company of few leaders allied to him and it is believed that he had a meeting with the party Secretary General Raphael Tuju.
According to reports by a local publisher, the DP’s meeting with the Tuju might have been due today following earlier remarks by leaders allied to him against the head of state and his family.
The party Secretary-General had also revealed earlier that he was planning to meet with the second in command after the uproar following the insults that were halted by the DP’s brigade to the Kenyatta family.
Ruto’s relationship with the president changed after the famous handshake between President Uhuru and Former Prime minister Raila Odinga in 2018.
