ODM leader Raila Odinga has told DP William Ruto to sell his policies and manifesto to Kenyans, instead of focussing his energy on whether the next President of Kenya should be rich or poor.
While speaking in Bomet on Sunday, Odinga scoffed at the DP for his persistent use of the term ‘Hustler’, even giving an example of his own father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga who was son of a peasant.
“I’m the son of the late Jaramogi Odinga, his father was a peasant, look at all the Kenyan presidents, Kenyatta, Kibaki and Moi, they all began poor, they were all hustlers,” Raila said.
The ODM leader, who was speaking at the home of KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion at a party organized for Sossion’s daughter, told Ruto to sell policies not poverty to Kenyans.
“We should not be telling Kenyans about poverty, our politics should be about our manifestos and what we will do for the people of Kenya,” he said.
CS Eugene Wamalwa, COTU Boss Francis Atwoli, MP Johana Ngeno and KANU SG Nick Salat were also present.
