Government apologizes to Kenyans over Pumwani Incident, says it is committed to quality healthcare

    The Nairobi Metropolitan Services has apologized to Kenyans over an incident at Pumwani Hospital where a pregnant mother delivered her baby at the facility’s entrance. NMS Director of Health Services Josephine Mbae confirmed the incident happened on September 13th, after a security guard denied the patient entry into the facility.

    ”We take this opportunity to sincerely apologize to the mother and her child, their family, Nairobians and our mothers in particular for this most unfortunate incidence. We affirm our commitment to improve, ensure the delivery of affordable, accessible and quality Health Care.” the statement read in part.
