More trouble for the outspoken Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala after the former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa spilled the beans on Malala’s secret deal with the Deputy President William Ruto.
The vocal Kakamega lawmaker was in the recent past has been the talk in the town after making headlines after the police raided his home a few weeks ago.
The lawmaker left Kenyans talking after being reduced to tears in the senate following his revelation that his life is under serious threat.
Speaking during the Senate meeting on Tuesday 15 September, Malala revealed that he has been on the watch out after receiving several threats naming five Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) detectives who have been puffing against his freedom.
However, in a video that surfaced online, Echesa was captioned speaking about Malala deals with the second in command claiming that he knew what was troubling Malala.
Speaking during an interview at a local radio station, Echesa said Malala was trying to run from the reality that was dawning on him so fast.
Echesa disclosed that Malala sought assistance from the second in command and got money to construct a house before he became a Senator revealing how he took Malala to Ruto’s home in Eldoret and the DP agreed to help.
Echesa revealed that Malala was immediately given Ksh 3 Million and told to start constructing his home and was later given Ksh 2 million for roofing and Ksh 1.5 million for finishing.
Echesa further affirmed that the lawmaker had even confirmed the incident in Kakamega daring Malala to deny the reports if they were not true.
