Staff At KQ To Be laid Off On Monday as Unpaid Leave Bites

    The staff at KQ not required during the resumption of services will from Monday be asked to proceed on a second wave of unpaid leave details have emerged.

    According to the CEO there is suppressed demand for air transport, a large part of fleet is grounded meaning the carrier will operate a reduced network when they resume services keeping in mind that normalcy to resume in the aviation sector would take sometime before things brighten up yet again. With this in mind KQ is now prepared for an exercise that will run till september to see to it it carries organization restructuring which result in the reduction of the KQ network, assets and human resource.

    The human Resources team, together with respective departmental heads, will communicate directly with the staff affected, and engage them at personal levels to provide the information and support required through this transition.

    The CEO noted that this was going to be a painful process but urged eacgh one to reach out for support.
