Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya has spoken for the first time after the ouster of Majority Leader Aden Duale from his position in the National Assembly leadership. The legislator said he was elated the party had confidence in him and will do his best to serve it.
“This is a humbling situation for me. It shows the confidence the party leadership has on me. I will do my best to serve not only the party but the country at large,” Kimunya said.
Kimunya, who is among Mt Kenya MPs who have strongly stood by President Uhuru Kenyatta also said there were no divisions in Jubilee Party, terming those propagating the narrative of a divided Jubilee were misleading Kenyans.
“This change has come because the members felt they needed it, it is not a witch hunt or a matter of bad blood. We are a united Jubilee Party,” he said, saying Jubilee has no faction, but just a single united party
