Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and three MPs supporting DP William Ruto were on Friday teargassed by the police for flouting set COVID-19 gudelines. The DSenator had tried to hold a political rally in Bungoma town despite ban on public gathering.
Wetangula, who was accompanied by few MPs made a triumphant entry in Bungoma town, accompanied by their supporters. It was this huge gathering and the commotion that led to police lobbying teargas to disperse the crowds.
The former Senate Minority Leader was accompanied by MPs Didmus Baraza (Kimilili), Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini) and Ben Washiali (Mumias East).
