Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party has signed a post poll coalition agreement with both Jubilee and KANU Parties. The agreement, already deposited at the Registrar of Political Parties technically destroys the Jubilee Party structure as well as the NASA Coalition, which Wiper has always been a member.
”The decision to join hands with Jubilee and KANU is informed by the fact that President Kenyatta is committed to a united country. This is the basis of our working relationship. Wiper Party is committed to the Handshake,” said the party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka after depositing the agreement with the Registrar of Political Parties.
Word has it that President Uhuru Kenyatta has already finished cobbling a new Cabinet. Among them are nine prominent politicians. The looming changes will see almost half of the current Cabinet secretaries sacked.
Most chief administrative and principal secretaries could also lose their jobs in the grand fumigation. After running out dissents in the parliamentary leadership, the President is said to be shifting his focus to the Cabinet and is reportedly keen on tapping the most experienced hands to drive his legacy agenda.
According to a highly placed source aware of the looming Cabinet reshuffle, the President could announce the changes any time from now.In the expected changes, Kenya National African Union Party chairman Gideon Moi could be appointed to the Cabinet, a move that will cause a by-election in Baringo county which he represents in the Senate.Wiper leader and former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is proposed to take over the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
