Cate Waruguru Ousted From Parliamentary Committee After Dumping DP Ruto’s Camp

    Big Blow to Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru has been shown exit door from the parliamentary committee.

    Waruguru was serving as as vice chairperson of the National Assembly’s Members Services and Facilities Committee and was also a member of the departmental committee on lands.

    In letters penned by Majority Chief Whip Emmanuel Wangwe dated 17 June informed the lawmakers, Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, Cornelly Serem and Joyce Korir and Waruguru of their expulsions.

    The former Tangatanga lawmaker had a meeting with the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday 9 last week seemingly to save her position.

    The outspoken lawmaker, who was a number one supporter of Deputy President William Ruto, stated that she changed tact to work with the government adding that she met the Opposition Chief to discuss relevant issues of national importance.

    The meeting, that was also grace by National Assembly Minority Whip Junet Mohamed, sparked mixed reactions among Kenyans.
