When gospel singer Ruth Matete got married to her late husband Beloved
John Apewajoye in November 22 last year, his ex-wife Juliet Aihinomo Idehen claimed that Beloved John was still married to her.
“I wish you all the best, getting married to someone’s husband who abandoned his family here in Nigeria. Claiming she is this and that, well remember what goes around, God is not sleeping, we will let the sleeping dog lie. And watch the drama to the end,” she posted on her Facebook page.
The demised gospel singer and minister and his wife Matete disputed her claims.
“First of all, want to thank everyone who stood and still standing by
me and my wife. I also want to thank everyone who is busy seeking to
destroy. In everything, we give thanks to God. We made a vow to God
and regardless of what comes our way we will keep this vow. I and my
wife are doing good and want to be allowed to enjoy our lives and
ministry. We love you all,” wrote Beloved John.
When John died as a result of a fire accident last month, trolls landed on Ruth claiming it was Karma for snatching another woman’s husband. Documents have now surfaced showing that indeed Beloved John who is yet to be buried was a free man after a court granted him divorce against his ex wife.
