Party Loyalty: Ladema Ole Kina’s Smart Political Move In his Senate Speech.

    Senator Ladema Ole Kina narrated the story of how he was the victim of party loyalty when he was kicked out of the Public Accounts and Investment Committee as chairman. Senator Ole Kina said that he had leant his lesson through his experience and advised Hon.Kithure Kindiki not to be moved.

    When his time to speak came, Hon.Ole Kina pledged to support H.E. Raila Amollo Odinga as the party leader and ODM as his party. He asked Hon. Raila Odinga not to listen to those questioning his loyalty.

    Opposition leader, Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party issued a notice to kick out the Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina from a key position in Senate Committee.

    In a letter addressed to the Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Siaya County Senator James Orengo issued a notice stating the Opposition party wanted to eject Ole Kina from the County Public Accounts and Investments (CPAIC). Ole kina had garnered enough support to win the chairmanship supported by Tanga Tanga wing of Jubilee party in a move that angered his Party ODM.

    Taking to his Twitter handle page, Ole Kina on said the matter had been resolved, adding that he held wide consultations regarding his election as the Senate CPAIC chairperson with Orengo and the ODM party leadership.

    “I have had wide consultations on the issue of my election as chair of the Senate CPAIC with James Orengo and the ODM party,” reads Ole Kina’s statement.

    Party Loyalty took center stage in the removal of Prof. Kithure Kindiki with many senators giving their reasons as to party loyalty and politics as the reason for their yes vote and not necessarily Prof. Kindiki’s performance.

    Kenyans are anxious know the next phase of Jubilees purge and the clean up heads to Parliament and the cabinet. Who will be the next casualty, that’s the question in the minds of many Kenyans.
