Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa have told off President Uhuru Kenyatta over the creation of a National Management Committee of the ruling Jubilee Party. While speaking to the press on Tuesday, the two MPs also took a swipe at COTU Boss Francis Atwoli and Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe for being forces behind the Jubilee Party fall out.
”I want President Kenyatta to come out and dismiss those people high on alcohol and marijuana who are quoting him and soiling his name as President and Commander in Chief of the Defence Forces,” MP Barasa said.
His sentiments were echoed by Oscar Sudi, who warned people he termed as outsiders trying to take over the party using dubious means.
”We know the conmen and political rejects who are trying hard to use the backdoor to take over our party. Let them be warned, we know real Jubilee Party members and we shall speak loudly when the right time comes,” Sudi said.
After Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju told off the DP over his opposition to the newly created National Management Committee, Jubilee leaders supporting the DP now have a secret plan up their sleeves.
While speaking to this writer on condition of anonymity, an MP from the Rift Valley says if they cannot have control of the Party, they’d rather have it destroyed from the inside.
”This is where we are now. We are not outsiders in Jubilee. In fact we are the founding members nobody can just flip the switch and take over the party without informing its members,” the MP said on condition of anonymity.
